8 Different Types of Creative Intelligence

What Are The 8 Types of Creative Intelligence according to Dieter F. Uchtdorf:⠀⠀

We’re all creative to some degree and where you creatively flourish might differ to someone else.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀

I found a really interesting article on the 8 different types of Creative intelligence..It talks about how we naturally lean towards one or two categories of creative intelligence but how if we look to another we can seek new means of creativity and learn to stretch ourselves and/or fall out of familiar creative ruts.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀

I thought I’d share them below so you can think about which ones you’re most/least comfortable using and which ones you might look at experimenting with so you can creatively flourish again:⠀⠀⠀⠀

I challenge you to try something new out of the categories below: ⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Social or Interpersonal: Discuss, exchange ideas, and build relationships⠀⠀⠀ ⠀

• Musical: Attend concerts, play an instrument, hum melodies, sing with others, enjoy rhythms⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Spatial: Paint, draw, design web pages, design rooms, make cards, create logos, map out routes, mind mapping

• Bodily-Kinesthetic: Play sports, enjoy movement, walk on tours, notice body language⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Logical-Mathematical: Solve problems, balance checkbooks, create schedules, budget money⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Intrapersonal: Keep a personal journal, read alone, meditate, study to answer personal questions⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Naturalistic: Collect specimens, garden, follow animal footprints, photograph landscapes⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Verbal-Linguistic: Tell stories, write essays, participate in interviews, converse easily with peers⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you want to read more about each of the categories, the article is called “The 8 types of Creative Intelligence by Robyn McMaster. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hope you feel motivated to try and find new ways to be creative! ⠀
