Finding Inspiration:

Through Photography

Nobody ever thought there was anything good about a busy day up the slopes. I however, love capturing all the crazy scenes and bringing them to life in my work.

Through Film

I first saw Eric Pollard’s short film ‘Drawn From Here’ at the Mountain Film Festival in Fernie.

If you are like me and love combining your appetite for skiing/mountains and creativity, I think the film is worth a watch and certainly left me feeling inspired to keep going with all that I do.

Some of the take-outs and words that stuck with me from the film were: ⠀

“You’re lucky if you find something in life that you love and it's a miracle if somebody will pay you to do it.”⠀

“The essential principal of business / of occupation in the world is this. Figure out some way in which you get paid to play.”⠀

“As you design your product, you also design your life.”⠀

I didn’t realise until watching this film how much fuller my life feels when it is creatively driven. ⠀

If you haven’t found what pulls you out of bed each morning - “Follow your bliss. Go where your body and soul want to go and when you have that feeling stay with it and don’t let anyone throw you off.”
