Keeping All Your Eggs in One Basket (don’t):

Painting for me is a nice reminder to continue to try new things and not keep all my eggs in one basket.⠀⠀

Last year during what was one of my more challenging years, I was faced with some limitations and therefore couldn’t invest all my energy into the things I’d spent so much of my time doing previously like running and other sports.⠀⠀

While it’s great to be good at one thing, it’s also important to realise sometimes life has it’s own path and we might not be able to do that one thing forever.⠀⠀

For me, painting is a completely new and fun project and something I’m so grateful to have found. In an ideal world I’d like to always have a craft, a sport, a job and some other kind of intellectual engagement so that if one thing falls off the wagon for a bit, I have the others to put all my love and energy into.⠀⠀

So, I challenge you to think about some of the other things you’d like to do with your time. The more diverse the better!
